Background

Built Different

Terry Wiggins arrived in Blacksburg as one of the most highly-decorated linebackers in the 2026 recruiting class. A senior captain at Coatesville Area High School, he finished his prep career with 92 tackles, 14 TFLs, and 4 sacks in his final season alone — adding three forced fumbles, four blocked field goals, and a blocked punt along the way.

Rated a 4-star prospect by 247Sports, ESPN, and Rivals, Wiggins was ranked the No. 1 linebacker in Pennsylvania and the No. 8 overall linebacker nationally. He accepted an invitation to the Navy All-American Bowl and was named Defensive Player of the Year in the Ches-Mont League.

The son of Terence and Monica Wiggins, Terry comes from a household built on athletic excellence. His sister Portia Wiggins played college lacrosse at Delaware State, and Olivia Wiggins played basketball in high school and club basketball at North Carolina A&T — making the Wiggins family one of the most accomplished athletic households in Pennsylvania.

The People Behind Him

Family First

Terry's journey to Blacksburg didn't happen alone. Behind every great player is a family that made it possible.

From Coatesville to Lane Stadium, the Wiggins family has been there every step of the way. Terry credits his parents, Terence and Monica, as the foundation of everything he's built — instilling in him the work ethic, character, and drive to compete at the highest level.

His sisters are athletes in their own right — Portia played college lacrosse at Delaware State, and Olivia played basketball in high school and club basketball at North Carolina A&T. The Wiggins household runs deep with competitors. On gamedays at Lane Stadium, you'll find the whole family loud, proud, and draped in maroon and orange.
